Last night:

I grilled a 3# tri-tip. The father in law is watching sodium so I seasoned with garlic and herb Dash. I liked the result.

I served the sliced beef on “everything” rolls. They were a hit.

But …..

my two sides went over like a lead balloon.

1 the couscous was a little dry. I added chopped dried apricot and sautéed green onion and red bell pepper. I could have tripled the amount. And maybe another quarter cup of chicken broth.

2 sautéed cabbage with chopped apple and onion. Cooked with red wine vinegar and red wine. I thought it was delicious. Mrs BV was not impressed. My father in law is happy with any meal he doesn’t have to cook himself, so I never know how much to believe him.
