I would. Kowloon, Wanchai and Causeway Bay area are all lively (and now safe again) late into the night. I personally like walking and eating in Kowloon at night. The Marriott airport hotel is just a Marriott in the middle of nowhere. I stay there when keynoting events at the exhibition center or meeting the Cathay folks.
Aside from that, it has nothing going for it. HK the city is just too nice not to explore.
That said, I'm not sure how much you prefer exoring the cities vs spending time in the hotel. The suites at the Marriott are decent sized and the breakfast decent. Last time the club was semi closed so not good. Not sure what it is like now.
I ended up changing to the Hyatt Centric simply because of the 24-hour cancellation policy that I will be able to take advantage of in case my tight connection in the US messes up. I'll want to rest and probably won't spend much time out on my first night, but it will be nice to at least have a view of the city. I thought about booking the CY but they only had a 48-hour cancellation policy (like SkyCity - shouldn't have booked that in the first place) and were only selling accessible kings on standard rates.
