Sitting in the YEG MLL and one guy is listening to music videos without earbuds and another guy feels the need to use speaker phone for his work call. And of course when he switched to speaker phone, he felt the need to speak louder to make sure the others could hear him.
A colleague of mine deals with this by simply sitting down and joining the meeting. Offers advice, suggests strategy, all of it wildly off-topic.
It’s perhaps a bit more confrontational than I’d be, but he’s a 250-pound heavy-metal roadie covered in tattoos, so it’s usually enough to get the point across without incident.
It’s really a sight to see.
