Just confirming, had no problem in transit through FRA using US visa on old passport. Also we were able to enter South Ireland (DUB) using UK visa (with BIVS printed on it)

Our itinerary was (3 separate tickets)
BLR-FRA-LHR
EDI-DUB
DUB-FRA-BLR
