The Premium Check-in area which was available last Wednesday could hardly be described as Premium - expects mostly self-service with kiosks then waiting in a queue much like for a ride at an adventure park/zoo.
When I checked in two weeks ago the old Elite area at the back was closed, as it has been for some time. Only the front section was open.
Pleasingly, at around 6pm the check in area was quiet and a pleasant way to check in. Yes, it’s almost all self-service machines, but staff were on hand to assist and bag-drop was quick and painless.
By contrast, checking in around 7am a few weeks earlier, the premium check in had been a horrendous zoo.
