ok.. i flew on thursday from austin to LGA.. I was originally supposed to go to austin to islip (via cleveland) earlier that day, but was placed on a later flight due to weather.. somehow my bag never got switched and the bag went to cleveland and has been stuck there... i called continental baggage services and they told me they would authorize $100 (50 per day) as a daily allowance to buy tolietries and clothing (which i think is fair)... my question is about the daily allowance.. how closely do they go over the reciepts? I'm not intending to take advantage of the situation, but don't want to not get refunded for anything i buy.. so:

1) if i spend all $100 in one day, will they care that it was not broken out by 2 days

2)if i go to the convience store and buy tolietries, but also pick up a magazine and a bag of chips, will they exclude that and not give me credit for it?
