Go back to Sams. The only issues I've ever had are when a clerk double scans one card by mistake, and then I get fully charged, I get activation at the top of the receipt but an instant refund as well by the system, and then it usually works itself out within like 5 days. I do have a friend that had a failed activation get a refund at customer service, pretty much on the spot. YMMV but it seemed pretty painless.
