We at at the Flying Hog where we had a 7 course meal for 150,000 won or $115. I really appreciate that no tipping is expected. There's no line on the bill to add additional money. The meal was exceptional, and included a type of beef specific to Korea and a course of pork from Jeju's black hogs. Dessert was a superb souffle with a scoop of ice cream and a creme Anglais sauce. The chef checked in on us several times to be sure that we were content with our meal. The restaurants and our room all had water views. I'm also including a picture of the children's playground that looked inviting. (OK, in looking at the pictures, I realize the first one was taken close to the hotel but not at the hotel. It is the small island we could see from our room.)

The hotel has great art. It will be obvious which one is outside the Flying Hog.

There is a lot to see and do in Jeju and it was worth the visit to stay here. Rates have bounced up and down. I was fortunate to get my first night booked with a 35K cert and the second night with 61K points. I noticed that the first night on the day of arrival had an entry level room at 41K points. For awhile, rates had been in excess of $1K and then everything was sold out. It's worth checking again and again to see if rates go down on whatever you book.

I want to repeat that service was exceptional. Almost all customer facing staff were English fluent and eager to give wonderful service.

Also, I brought a Marriott gift card that I successfully applied to my bill at bank conversion rate.
