For that alone it's between $100-$150 not including tax. I just want to get a nap in and relax before a 10 hour flight tbh. I contacted a couple hostels in NYC about seeing if I could check in early and one said no and the other said it's subject to availability (which I'm taking as a no to be conservative).
Have you explored checking into an EWR hotel as soon as you arrive there, getting some sleep, and then just heading to JFK in the afternoon?
You should check with AA to find out how far in advance of your TLV departure they will let you check your bag in. If you arrive at JFK in the morning, you might have to babysit your bag for a while.
