It's still a great resort, and one of the (if not the) best Hyatts in Hawaii. If you're thinking of going to Hawaii and want to go to Kauai (and why wouldn't you), the Grand Hyatt is the best Hyatt option. Also, as a Globalist, I don't think you should be too concerned about not getting a good room...just don't settle for the first room provided if it's not what you want. A couple weeks ago, my Globalist brother got an ocean view Poipu wing room using standard points on the first try, no push back necessary.
