That should be fine (particularly if you have Global Entry). DL operates out of one terminal at DTW, so connections are pretty easy. If TSA line is backed up at international arrivals, you can just exit like a local passenger and take elevator up to top floor where there are more security lanes and Pre-check and Clear. The Westin hotel (also at top level) also has it's own security entrance which generally isn't very busy in the middle of the day.
