Hi all, thought I would ask the question as I messed up when trying to book a trip last year using Avios and Amex 2 for 1 vouchers.

outbound flight to Orlando booked fine but when I called to book my return leg when the UK lines had opened In the AM, there wasn’t any space as people had called the US number overnight to at them all.

So next year I want to probably into Orlando and fly home from Miami ( as I can’t see BA that they fly into Fort Lauderdale which is what I really wanted)

if I book the outbound flight online soon as it’s available, do I use the Avios and 2 for 1 voucher then? And then when the inbound comes available I book that separately online using my remaining Avios?

then after that I can BA and get the 2 trips merges and a partial refund/ voucher extended to cover the inbound portion too?

or do I really just have to be on the phone US time to make it all work? Can it be all booked separately and sorted afterwards?
