That suite-killer for me is that at the end of the hall there is a door that leads to the suite PLUS the room next to the suite. It's a funky layout and prob leftover from when the west tower was supposed to be the Bahamar Hotel before the construction issues. If you're unlucky enough to get a loud or late night group in the next room you will be dealing with two slamming doors all night. Again, just MO but the king rooms in the East Tower are a better call. In 10+ stays i've been upgraded to Reserve 1x (stay #2 but told that will never happen again because it's now run as a hotel within a hotel). A few other times I've gotten a 1BR residence in the west tower but def the exceptions not the rule. Generally it's a one class upgrade. I'm here now--booked a basic King and was upgraded to ocean view king (busy time and no suites avail).
I agree, I think it's probably better to keep what I have in that case as it seems like the standard suites probably aren't even worth it. Also, just wondering is the One-Bedroom Fountain View Residence with One King Bed (West Tower) worth a $300 a night extra upgrade cost over a standard king? Or alternatively the same room but at the reserve in the east tower for $375?
Just wondering if the upgrade cost makes sense over a standard king.
Thanks.
