My parents stayed there for two weeks in April and while the walk to the MRT was doable, it was a little harder for them physically as they are more elderly. for them (my dad had a mobility problem those two weeks) it was about a 15 - 20 min walk. summer time walk to/from the hotel in the humidity would be gross.

Doesn't that pretty much cover any walk in Taipei after April?

The locals seem to have adapted their body temps or something to seem pretty undisturbed when going out and walking around and stuff, it is kind of amazing haha.
