Thumbs down Singapore Airlines Award Booking issues

I am trying to change my return flight under a saver award business ticket on a different date, the singaporeair.com showed availability under advantage business only but when I called SQ reservation to make the change I was told she does not have any availability. To my surprise, she told me that on the singaporeair.com site inventories are only for NEW ONLINE BOOKING, those inventories does not apply to EXISTING BOOKING. If I want to cancel my return flight under the existing booking, the outbound flight must be cancel as well as they don’t allow cancelling part of the booked trip and turn the ticket into a one way ticket.

Basically Singapore airlines will take any award New booking so that they can take your miles but when it comes to make changes on existing booking, they will say SORRY no seats available but you can make a NEW booking and will take more miles from you. This does not sound good to me, it’s like a SCAM.

In addition, the call center is not efficient, the person who answered the call is only a note taker and booking verification, we must wait for an agent to call back to resolve any pending issues however due to time differences, the agent will call at the middle of the night and you will probably miss that call as well. Singapore airlines is NOT A GREAT WAY TO FLY.
