Hi folks,
I would like your opinions and insights about whether I should apply for Chase Marriott Boundless credit card under my circumstance and if it's likely I'll be approved.
Stats:
- Cards: 4/24;
- Hard Pulls: 3/12(2 approvals and 1 denial for credit card apps), 6/24(1 of 6 for rental application)
- Credit lines with Chase: CSP(10k), Freedom Flex(2k)
I'm on 4/24 and have 3 hard pulls in the last 12 months and 6 hard pulls in the last 24 months (1 was for rental application). I applied for a CSP in branch in March and got instantly approved with a high credit line (17k+). I applied for a Chase Marriott Boundless credit card in April online but didn't get approved. I called for re-considerations for twice in two consecutive days and they said things like, my credit line for CSP was too high, my relationship with Chase was not long enough. I've had my Chase freedom flex card since April last year. My Chase checking and savings account have been around for over 6 months. After 20 days or so, I ACH pushed $20k to my Chase savings and called for re-consideration. This time, after 15 min waiting, the CSP told me they are not extending any credit lines for me at this time considering my cards with them and my annual income.
One week ago, I sent two separate secure messages to decrease my CSP from 17k to 10k and my Freedom Flex from $6.7k to 2k. Will my total credits be updated in my credit report now when I submitted a new card application? Should I give a shot to apply for Chase Marriott Boundless as I don't want to get an extra hard pull? I'm really tempted to do so as I'll be traveling overseas and it's so nice to have Marriott Boundless with me
