The inbound DL flight is on a CRJ-900 and normally into T4 concourse A, so it should be a short walk to the VS gates. I figure Syracuse and JFK should experience similar storms, so I'm not too concerned about a weather misconnect. There are later VS/DL flights to LHR, but possibly not with space in D1/Upper.

47 min for connection is tighter than I'd normally like, but this routing in J is $1k cheaper than ones with longer connection times. My choice is this 47 min connection in VS A350 Upper vs a 2 hr connection in DL A330-900neo Premium Select.
By time head to airport you'll know if there's delays. DL will happily rebook you on earlier SYR-JFK flight or or onto other DL/VS flights to LHR.

The VS A350 in UC is also a plus.
