I had the same question about crediting to Alaska - I did a similar run on QR without codeshares a few months ago and credited Alaska and it worked great for me. Mr and Mrs Danteshors got enough miles on that route to snag 2 P tickets to Alaska.

I am assuming this run doesn't work in reverse does it?
