No bueno on upgrade even with PlusPoints, of course.
Having E+ (PE) seats going out empty is unfortunately indicative of fewer mid elites flying (Plats, Golds) even on UA's more in demand flights. And PPs on transcons is never a gimme until the amount of pre- and post-COVID PPs settles down.
