From what I understand, P Class will continue to accrue NO Tier Points and NO Avios.
When CX introduced P Class, BA negotiated with CX to keep the economy class earning in place of P class. It’s a management decision and nothing we can do to rectify it.
So BA is happy to lose its low margin Y pax to CX but is discouraging J travellers who credit to BA from flying CX - P for some reason seems to be the most prevalent CX business fare class on sale now and is usually more expensive than I class.
