Is there any thing I should consider other than the slightly longer travel time and the short stop in NRT?
From what I understand, the seats on the 777-300 and the A350 are essentially identical right?
Yes, seats are essentially identical in design...perhaps a tad more pitch on the 77W as it's a larger aircraft.
Key differences...
1. Departure/Arrival times. You'll know your body clock best and how you adapt as well as your schedule upon arrival (hotel check in, etc).
2. Disruption of NRT landing. You need to disembark and bring all carry-on items with you. It's a very short layover so not much time to do much of anything. Possible lost sleep time vs SQ37.
3. Flyertalk variable...the ex-NRT leg of SQ11 offers the Hanakoireki meal if that's of interest. Perhaps a less common inflight meal experience (if you haven't flown ex-Japan on an airline that offers this type of meal).
