If we had eaten in the restaurant rather than in our room, food + gratuity would have been in the 70-80 range (no room service fee, cup of coffee vs pot). I tipped on the food cost plus service charge since it made the math easy so that added a few bucks to the total.
In the regions I stay at STR, breakfast is always full buffet totally covered. In US, I believe some use credit - in my mind credit should be enough for a full breakfast like what you ordered, not half (though in restaurant is par for the course rather than room service). Sone of the travel blogs said this property was trying to get out of breakfast benefit completely so we should keep an eagle eye on them.
One of the reason why I've always preferred str and LC over properties with CL is the ability to get a full breakfast.
