First off, I had NO idea that BNE was like SYD for Int/Domestic transfers! Yikes - I for some reason was thinking it MUST be like Melbourne.

I'm also short of PQF on United (flights) and the VA flights will add two flights to my total, so I went with those and also kicked back my departure time out of MEL so that I have almost 3 hours to connect in BNE. I left the connection going to MEL at 2:55 thinking that should be plenty of time and I will want to get to my hotel and take the required 2 hour nap so I an adjust to the time zone.

Have not flown AC for years - curious how it compares to United.
