Both flights of this trip I am not offered anything to drink until the meal service. When the FA came around to confirm my entree I asked him if I needed to wait until I eat to ask for something to drink because I wanted something and he said "don't worry they're coming right behind me" which turned out to be code for you can have a beverage 20 minutes from now when meal service starts.
Am I being a primadonna for wanting a beverage at some point prior to 2.5 hours after getting on the plane in Delta One? By the time the FA finally served me a diet soda I was feeling pretty cranky and not enjoying my expensive flight.
No, not a primadonna. I would have been ringing the call button.
I can mostly forgive PDBs if there is a bottle of water at the seat, but in a premium cabin after 10k feet when there is no turbulence, the drinks (soft or otherwise) ought to be flowing.
