Interesting posts, thanks guys. I used to be a real fan of Borders books, they used to have all sorts of books about music, including musicological texts as well as scores, those Dover scores which were reprints of old editions of classical music piano, chamber and orchestral scores.
About Cinque Terre, oddly, having now been there I would like to go back and see some other things. Would like to do some walking there too. But I would take the advice of some friends and stay outside the Cinque Terre, and commute in each day with the train.
As for the SBB trains, as well as any other trains for that matter, you have to protect yourself and bring some snacks and drinks with you, as well as water. I think that's essential in this day and age, especially if you want to avoid silly high prices for basic commodities such as water.
