First time flying JAL, have a few questions
I booked SFO->Tokyo->DEL for June, when checking prices the Premium Economy in JAL was the same price as other airlines economy so I chose that, have only flown economy before.
some thoughts on the booking process -
- a lot of the JAL sites seem to appear in Japanese and then get translated to Eng. Its not a good experience
- I registered for JMB. My name shows as LAST LASTFIRST and I see no way to change it. so in the booking screen I couldn't use the registered info and had to reenter.
Questions about my trip -
- Lands in Narita 16.20, 19h layover, airport change to Haneda for connecting flight next day 10.20. Its an overnight layover
-JAL says premium economy has lounge access, correct? Can I spend overnight in the lounge? I read they aren't open all the time? Can I choose where to spend the time between the 2 airports?
- are the lounges accessible in both airports? I'd like advice on how best to spend the time there, what else is there to see (not leaving airport) etc
- any other tips? esp for my first Premium Economy flight.
- If the transfer/layover is not possible, I'm assuming it can be cancelled for full refund within 24hrs, right? Found no mention of this but this is a standard rule I believe
edit - got the answer below to these:
- I'm assuming JAL will arrange the transfer and I won't have to do it myself or pay?
- how is transfer done, do I need to go thru customs/immigration? Need visa? When booking none of this was mentioned
Thanks
