Well, I have confirmation once again that OWE ( at least BA gold) do not have access to the lounge in BKI if flying MASwings. We waited quite a while in the economy queue to check in this morning for our previously cancelled flight to Mulu. We were then directed to the business class check in so we would get a lounge voucher (we were told). Fine, we thought we could wait in the second long queue as we had plenty of time. Luggage priority tagged, but no lounge voucher. When questioned, agent conferred with colleague and said no lounge. We were now miffed, given we were told at the economy queue to go over to business in order to get our voucher. Agent then found a supervisor, who confirmed “no” on the basis it is MASwings operated ( even with a MH code for a ticket bought on the MH website.). Won’t be trying this again and just choose the shortest queue. Told that MH programmer’s emeralds do have access.
