I could swear I saw signs at my last 2E(L) - 2F transit that indicated US could use PARAFE.

At minimum nearly everyone in J coming off our (traveling with a kid, so had to do manual control) BOS-CDG flight went through PARAFE, and I'd be surprised if most were on EU passports.
