I’ll be going to AMS for 5 nights in Nov 2023. I had tentatively booked the Renaissance for 238K pts (58-61K pts/night). I’ve been checking almost daily and today the price dropped to a whopping 179K pts (43-46K pts/night). I got all giddy when the website offered to return 59K pts to my account!

I suspect I know why this is happening. The hotel is undergoing extensive renovations and I was planning on re-evaluating my decision closer to Nov. I would actually prefer staying at the Marriott but it’s 300K pts/night. No change there sadly.
