A friend is legitimately flying from Germany to Texas via London.
Round trip so return flight is back to Germany but he doesn't need the last leg.
If said friend "doesn't need the last leg" then why book it as such.
Go google Hidden City Ticketing. Its rightly frowned upon by airlines, and whilst fraud is a strong word, its certainly at the wrong end of the "grey area" spectrum.
