I remember reading on here before and the years post merger how United might / will / probably de-hub DEN and IAD. One or both. Now DEN has become United's prized Crown Jewel and IAD not only got a Polaris Lounge but now going to SEVEN banks. Lots of talk about how Southwest was going to end United at DEN and wherever WN competed with United.
What changed for IAD? Is it really that Newark is out of capacity and United has no choice?
WN’s business model has been discredited as one not poised for further profitable growth. So who’s going to reap higher than fair share of industry growth? The airline with the best route network (and hubs.)
