Refer them to The Air Passenger Rights and Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (specifically, Regulation 8)
This is very easy to take to MCOL yourself (should it need to go that far - if they've any sense, they'll settle unless they have a more convincing defence up their sleeves, e.g. genuine extraordinary circumstances). I'd give it to Bott & Co. if you don't want to do it yourself.
