Again, this IS NOT STATUS MILES TO OTHER STAR PROGRAMS but just a Fast Track to elite status in US' own program. If you book and credit miles to Aeroplan, you will not get the bonus miles but just regular travel status miles in your Aeroplan account. Read the fine print. This has been running as a banner on FT for about two weeks now, but I guess some of the more sophisticated computer types here have software that screened these out, so have only now discovered this promo.
