A friend is legitimately flying from Germany to Texas via London.
Round trip so return flight is back to Germany but he doesn't need the last leg.
What's the best way to tell staff in the US not to through check luggage, if that is even possible!
Booked before I knew so would have suggested that the last flight be from a different London airport...
I think they are mostly at the mercy of the agents checking the bags, but so far they were always OK with short-checking when I asked.
