Finally after months of breakfast hiatus it’s being taken care of in the newly-opened coffee shop. Standard Globalist inclusions are one drink, one pastry/cake/shortbread and one food item (mostly bagels). Their coffee and shortbreads are really nice, but I can’t say the same for the mediocre coffee shop bagels.
I don’t really mind this new arrangement, since the restaurant breakfast at Kota was nothing special when it was still available. The guys are really friendly and do table service as well. There’re even a few locals popping in for a drink at times. Not too sure when it’s available until, but they still took my order at around 11:15.
As for the hotel, it’s still probably the best Hyatt mattress-run option in the UK after the closure of HP Hayes — I can’t think of any reason to stay here other than mattress runs unless you’ve got things to do in Eddington. Rates still often dip below £90. Dutch the bar has since introduced a few more hot food options with the closure of Kota. It’s still bar food, but the portion sizes are just as generous as their cocktails. Below is the coffee shop’s food menu FYI.
