Correct.

Although your BA PNR e-ticket receipt says 20kg checked in baggage allowance, EI has their own PNR for your booking which identifies your reservation as a "smart" booking which is an EI HBO booking.

I had this same issue with an avios reward DUB-LPA flight and had to go to a dedicated checkin desk at DUB to get it resolved, which I did in the end after showing my BA e-ticket receipt.
