Can anyone offer any advice. Two weeks ago I applied via the Amex Platinum Portal to upgrade my Marriott Status to Gold - a perk of the card. And since then nothing has happened. The other chains I applied with made the status switch within a matter of days (and in some cases hours) but now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place with Amex saying I have to wait for Marriott and Marriott saying I have to wait for Amex.

Have a stay coming up this weekend that I wish to use my status for and had expected (per the website) that it wouldn't take more than two weeks. Is there anything I can do?!
