I have had some great CK experiences in Tokyo pre-pandemic, similar as you described. I will start flying back and forth to Tokyo again, with 1st trip beginning in a few days. I will miss those CK touches as I lost my status in April and will now have fend for myself as a lowly EXP.
The good news for all of us once we leave CK, life goes on. Also- Tokyo as EXP is fantastic. Technology there was so cool, pretty amazing airport experience even if not CK.
Also the lounges as One World Emerald excellent. Particularly enjoyed the JAL First lounge, sushi chef, japanese curry ramen and good sake and champagne.
Enjoy your trip! Kyoto is a particularly beautiful city if you haven't been!
