The CX lounge is a bit disappointing if you're looking to load up before your 7am flight. The lounge lizard on duty scoffed as I presented my boarding pass and refused to open the lounge a minute early than 5:30am. The breakfast selection is as meagre as reported with the choice of one noodle/western breakfast. On the bright side, they do have champagne on the bar.
No dandan noodles for breakfast!
I am also pleased with how generous the crew was on my BKK-HEL plane with the Thai staff regularly patrolling the aisle at the 6/7 hour mark with generous pourings of liquid refreshments and snacks. It was hard to get excited about fruit salad though.
You can also get fruit salad, yoghurt, bircher muesli and something else (maybe bread + things for a sandwich? I don't quite remember) from the self-serve bar in the room next to the counter where you order. Was far more satisfying for me than the JAL offering.
