That is probably it. The AA option sounds most familiar (most of my AA flights lately have been breakfast flights though). Since going somewhat free agent and picking my travels mostly based on time/price of front cabin, and just keeping top tier elite on Spirit, it all becomes a jumble.
Agree with all that these meals are a step in the right direction. I concur that I used to order the cheese plate as a default most of the time on Acela.
