I loved the buddy dining and did it a few times on the 297. If you get a 772 with F or unconverted 773 (unless they have all been done) then it's still possible - as well as the A380 of course.

Having said that, my wife and I managed to escape to BGI last year for a few days - the first time without the kids. My wife told me in no uncertain terms that she did not want to talk to anyone until we landed and that we definitely would not be doing buddy dining!
