There is a bag drop and connecting flight check-in right after customs, but the last few times I've flown in it's been dark and no one there. In other words, YMMV. You'll only find out when you land is it open and someone is there, or do you need to go over to T1 with your bags (which is like a 90 second walk from the T2 int'l exit that's adjacent to T1). No need to overthink so much. It'll be a minute or two extra walk in the shade with your bags if the baggage recheck after customs isn't open.
