Yes, this is very true in Manhattan south of 60th. Every day you walk around in the shadows of pied a terres that cost hundreds of millions of dollars with carry costs that alone are millions of dollars a year. I honestly can't understand what purpose the Aman NYC serves other than to stratify the already highly stratified luxury travelers of Manhattan.
