Hey all - longtime traveler, longtime DL Diamond - and this year down to Platinum. Decided to do a status match to UA and was given Premier Platinum. Flying soon on EVA Air (BR) LAX-TPE-PVG in Premium Economy. Return is HKG-SIN-LAX on Singapore (SQ).

Not familiar at all with UAL MP and how it works for partners. My main questions to you:

1) Lounge access in LAX and TPE (Assume that PE + Minimum Silver) will gain me access to the EVA lounge
2) Lounge access in HKG and SIN - Could not find on SIN page so assume Premium Economy will grant it with Plat? Also which lounge in HKG since they do not have a SQ lounge there.
3) Any experience with upgrade offers from BR or SQ when status is with United/Star Alliance?

I do have a travel companion on same itinerary.
