Companion dining in F

Hubby and I are booked on BA297 to ORD on 14th September. Never flown first before and ive heard people mention being able to dine together. Is that only in row 1? I cant quite visualise how it would work in the other rows.
There were only 4 seats to select from when I booked so have selected 4K and 3 F as they were diagonally opposite but now thinking I may swap 3F to 4A if it is still available.
It's no big deal if we are at opposite sides of the cabin but might be nice to dine together.
