AirAsia: seats disappeared at booking
So, this is for a new issue: finally booked the AirAsia flight I’ve been looking at. Chose the ‘Value Bundle’, which includes seats, bags and a meal. Selected seats in row 10 (bit of an additional charge since they aren’t toward the back) meals and thought I was good.
This morning I looked at the confirmation in more detail and don’t see seats listed. Tried to make a new booking, and noticed the seats I selected showing as empty. If I go in to modify the booking, it wants another 216 THB per seat - I think about 40% more than it would’ve been with a new booking without the bundle. Times 4 since there are 4 of us.
it’s not the amount - it’s 800+ Baht which is nothing but the principal that they would gouge for seats I had already selected and paid for. Feel the fares I paid were already relatively high (about 2 - 2.5 times than most other days), but that’s almost besides the point.
what recourse do I have? Have tried via ‘Bo’ online, but can not figure out a way to actually chat with a human. No phone number to call (of course). And proving exactly why I was reluctant to ever book on AirAsia in the first place - normally I would prioritize full service carriers - this time I did it only because it was super convenient - going CNX to HHQ - only flight of any carrier to HHQ and saves a flight to BKK + 3 hour drive.
