I recall there was a recent change to remove EWR from the list of New York airports: https://nypost.com/2022/09/23/newark...d-part-of-nyc/

It was actually an IATA decision (weird if you ask me).

This means that to book a flight to JFK but fly back from EWR it is a multi-city itinerary and not a co-terminal (like flying to LGA and flying back from JFK).

I guess this is why TK is struggling.
