Which is what puzzles me when I see people give trip reports / data points along the lines of "I could see suite availability in the app so the front desk must give it to me." But the T&C doesn't say that at all ...
Having said that, being in Asia, HH is generally still good to Diamonds, but anecdotally I feel more and more hotels lately are being stricter with upgrades (for e.g. many Bangkok hotels now strictly give Golds a 1 cat, and Diamonds a 2 cat upgrade, no more).
