This terminal has three buildings, labeled K, L and M. L and M are ATL-style midfield buildings linked to the K building by a driverless train. The train makes a lsomewhat lengthy stop at the L building. If your flight parks at a gate in M, you could be 15-20 minutes away from passport control in tdhe corridor that links 2E with terminal 2F, which is where AF's connecting flights to airports within the "Schengen Zone" (the EU's immigration treaty) depart. After passport control, you will have to reclear security before gaining access to the 2F gates. I remember there being an "Acces 1" or fast-track security line for 2F. I would allow at least 20 minutes to get through each of the passport and security barriers. Then you have the walk time to your gate. 2F has two piers of gates, so your walk might be 10 minutes after security. So, adding this up, you are probably looking at a minimum of 65-70 minutes gate to gate.

I don't remember AF having a policy like Delta where they close the boarding door 10 minutes prior to departure.

I think the big thing is to relax and enjoy yourself. If things go pear shaped in CDG, AF has nice lounges with plenty of champagne and pain au chocolat to make IRROPS tolerable.

You will almost certainly need to reclear security, but will not need to enter Schengen (viz. no passport control). Unless you're doing this on separate tickets, in which case, get ready for stress, this should be quite doable.
It depends what concourse your flight arrives into and connection goes out of. Flights from the US/EU/CANADA don't require reclearing security. However not all gate/concourse combos offer this ability currently.
