Anyone stayed here? Found little on this site about it. Recently opened. The glowing TA reviews don't all seem, um, from authentic guests.

I've been to Clearwater Beach many times -- have stayed at the Sheraton Sand Key, the Residence Inn, the Fairfield Inn, and the AC Hotel (great hotel, wish it had a beach/water view). The first three are a strong pass from me (even if great points redemption) - usually stay at an Opal Resort (despite my Marriott points/status) because I like to be beach-side and see the ocean while spending time with family. The AC is a good contender for low-points redemption but the location (for what I'm looking for) isn't the best.

Interested to see how this one plays out, but right now was not cheap and very high on points - and the beach sliver (where located) seems very small and right by the bridge? Don't mind walking to the public beach, but is that even easy to do?

Surprised they put a JW in there, given how the local tourist economy is looking (from my outsider view - not a FL resident).

(I CANNOT WAIT for the St. Regis in Longboat Key to open fast enough!)
